What is Lindy Hop
The partnered swing dance born in Harlem in the late 1920s, to big band music. Playful, social and full of improvisation.
The dance's story →You don't need a partner
Partners rotate in class, so everyone dances with everyone. We are especially looking for men to lead. Solo Jazz needs no partner at all.
You don't need experience
Beginners' groups start from zero: the rhythm, the first steps, the first swing-out. Our dancers range from about 20 to 65 years old.

Lindy Hop or “Lolly Pop”?
We've heard “Loli Pop”, “Lindy Trop” and “Hop Trop”: it's Lindy Hop. The name goes back to 1927 and Charles Lindbergh's (“Lindy”) flight across the Atlantic.
